Within the framework of the 16th Biennale de la Danse in Lyon, France
As hanging, bodies are agitated to avoid falling in an endless and harmonious dialogue with gravity.
Defy gravity and play with the power, Yoann Bourgeois works for it through all his performances. In 2010 Cavale explores vertigo, showing two dancers come and go, suspended between a staircase and a trampoline. For the Biennale de la danse, the six dancers of celui qui tombe engage in a dizzying balancing act on an unstable floor. Between contemporary dance and a new genre of circus, dancers seem to move against their will, under the influence of stronger forces.
